Farmer Teds

We had a wonderful day out at Farmer Teds; meeting the animals, feeding them, looking after them and taking tractor rides.

The children learnt lots about the different animals and we are looking forward to doing some follow up work from the trip.

The children were so well behaved and you should be very proud of them all.

Teddy bear hospital

Today we had lots of fun when the Teddy Bear hospital came.

We learnt how to stay healthy (by eating the right food), the names of organs in our bodies (and what their function is) and what to do if we ever get sick or hurt.

Here are some photos of what we got up to:

I’m sure all the teddies are feeling much healthier tonight!

Our Trip to Church

Today we had a lovely trip out to Christ the King Church.

The children did incredibly well walking there and back (I’m sure they will sleep well tonight).

When we arrived at church we were met by Mary Coughlan, who showed us around the church. She showed us all the symbols in the church and explained their meaning. The children particularly enjoyed finding out about the saints, especially Saint Patrick!

The children were so well behaved and I was very proud of them.

I hope you enjoy looking at the photos of our trip.

Gruffalo Crumble

We’ve been having some great fun over the last couple of weeks getting to know the story of the Gruffalo.

We have been doing lots of fun activities including puppet shows, building Gruffalo caves, painting pictures of the Gruffalo and even making Gruffalo crumble.

Here are some of the pictures of us eating the Gruffalo (Apple) crumble:

Information for the Spring Term

Welcome back everyone to the Spring Term.

What an exciting term ahead we have.

Our classroom is looking fantastic, after a overhaul during the Christmas holidays. Plus, this term we have a forest role play area, which the children are already enjoying using.

Our theme for this term is fantasy stories and the first story we will be looking at is The Gruffalo. We have so many fun activities planned for the children, which we are sure they are going to enjoy.

Please take a look at the homework for this half term and also the change in our timetable (especially to PE).

Wavertree library

We had a lovely trip out on Tuesday to our local library.

The children were told how the library was organised, where various books were kept anod heard a winter story. They then had lots of fun choosing a book to take back to school. There were lots to choose from.

We are looking forward to reading all the books in school over the next couple of weeks.

Polar bear, Polar Bear

Hi there,

Well this afternoon we’ve been having a very creative time.

We have been making Polar bear masks , Polar bear footprints and acting out as office people in Santas workshop.

It was so lovely hearing the children’s giggles as Miss Moran painted the children’s feet for them, to make footprints on the paper.

Please take a look at the children getting creative and some of the master pieces they created.

It’s been another wonderful day in our class.

Our local community

Today we went for a walk in our local area.

We saw lots of places including Our Lady’s church, the laundrette, a pharmacy, the town hall, the smallest house, picton clock, the swing park and the monks well.

The children were so sensible and very well behaved. You should feel very proud.

Please enjoy looking at the photographs.
