Village Settlers

This half term in geography we have been learning about how settlements began and how they’ve changed over time. We’ve focused on the North West and found evidence of Roman, Anglo-Saxon and Viking settlements in atlases and on Ordnance Survey maps. We loved learning about map symbols and what they mean and were able to find them on maps. We also explored how settlements link together and considered the reasons how and why some settlements became large towns and cities over time.

Wavertree Library

We had fun learning about books! Sue from Wavertree library read us a story about Flat Stanley, it was great! Then we had a chance to bring a library book back to school for us to read, some very exciting titles where chosen, from The Hunger Games, to Northern Lights and even non-fiction books about football!
