School Lunches

School Lunches

Meals, whether hot or packed lunch, are taken in the hall from between 12.05 pm and 1.00pm under the supervision of Mrs MacLean and our lunchtime supervisory assistants in the hall. ln order to reduce disruption to teaching time to a minimum, it would be greatly appreciated if you could:

Give the School Office one weeks’ notice if there are any changes to lunchtime arrangements

Send the correct amount of money in for each week which is currently £2.00 per day/£10.00 per week. This MUST be paid each Monday morning.

The current menu can be found here:

Packed Lunch

  • Food and drink must be in unbreakable containers, all clearly labelled with your child’s name and class
  • In the interests of safety glass bottles are unacceptable
  • The quantity of refreshment brought should be reasonable for one child’s consumption
  • Once the children come into school they will be directed to place their packed lunch boxes onto the lunchbox trolleys provided. At an appropriate time these will be taken into the hall.
  • The children should take their packed lunch boxes home each evening

At school the same high standards of table manners and hygiene are expected of all the children that a family would expect at home.

Children staying for lunch are not permitted to leave the school during the mid-day break.

The school is part of the Government sponsored Free Fruit and Vegetable Scheme whereby every Infant child receives a free piece of fruit, carrot or some cherry tomatoes each day along with their milk (if requested). Junior pupils are allowed to bring in fruit to eat.

Milk is free to all children under the age of 5 and then costs £10.00 per child, per term, for Infant children only. If your child is entitled to free school dinners, the milk is free. Please place the money in an envelope marked with your child’s name.

All money brought into school should be in an envelope clearly marked with your child’s name. It should be passed to the teacher or into the school office as soon as possible.

Tuck Shop

There is a Healthy Tuck Shop available to all Junior pupils during morning playtime.  Each item is 40p
