RSHE
At Our Lady of Good Help, we equip all pupils with essential knowledge, understanding and practical skills in order to live healthy, safe, fulfilled and responsible lives. Pupils will acquire key knowledge that will enable them to make decisions about their wellbeing, health and relationships and to build their self-efficacy. Pupils can also put this into practice as they develop the capacity to make well informed choices and weigh up associated risks and consequences. Our RSHE curriculum supports pupils to develop resilience, to understand how and when to ask for help, and to know where to access support from appropriate sources. Through stimulating and engaging RSHE lessons, we provide a positive way of safeguarding our children. We offer pupils valuable learning opportunities and experiences that help children grow and develop as individuals and as members of our community. Therefore, our curriculum makes a significant contribution to children’s personal, spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. Children are encouraged to reflect on and clarify their own values and attitudes, and explore the complex range of values and attitudes they encounter now and in the future.
